About three weeks ago, (after anxiously, patiently, and nervously waiting) my Eric received his official job offer solidifying that we would be moving to Vienna, Austria July 6th!
Eric randomly saw a job posting on one of his school websites for a web developer by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and thought, "why not"? So he filled out the application and sent in his resume not expecting anything to really come from it. But not long after he was surprised when they contacted him for a phone interview.
Since one of the interviewers was going to be calling from Austria they scheduled it for 7:30am. We woke up, got ready for school and work as usual, and then he went into the living room to get on his computer for the interview. I stayed in the bathroom to finish my primping and eavesdropped intently. The whole phone interview only lasted 30 minutes but it went so well! Like couldn't have gone any better. And as it was ending I knew without a doubt that Eric was going to get the position. It was a strong women's intuition, clairvoyant, gut feeling. I just knew. Originally, Eric thought the position would be remote. Oh no no no....we'd be moving to Vienna.
We are definitely going to miss our family and friends so much but with all of our modern technology we will be able to talk, text, facebook, google chat, and skype with no problem. We hope we have lots of visitors as well!
We are excited for you two to have this adventure! Be safe and keep in touch. We love you. xoxox
